With a vast variety of culture, scenery and social diversity, Brisbane is the vibrant captial of Queensland. Boasting innovativity and creativity in both commercial and residential construction, Brisbane is growing in popularity for builders and building of homes. Brisbane is know for its rapidly expanding music and arts scene, both popular and classical. The Queensland Performing Arts Centre, that is situated in South Bank, is formed of the Lyric Theatre, Cremorne Theatre, a Concert Hall, and the Playhouse Theatre.

Significant cultural occasions in Brisbane comprise of the Ekka, and the Riverfestival at South Bank Parklands and surrounding areas. Warana, (translating to Blue Skies), prevously was a spring celebration which started in 1961 and was held in September every year. Conducted as a celebration of Brisbane, Warana was comparable to Melbourne's Moomba festival.

Transport back in early Brisbane times evolved from dirt roads which are now replaced with paved roads and via the Brisbane River with various ferry services. Trams was used in the city between 1885 and 1969, meanwhile rail networks grew across Brisbane into the growing nearby areas during the 1870s. Today Brisbane, as Queensland's largest city and state capital, has a vast transportation system within the city, in addition to connections to regional centres, interstate and to overseas places.
